I reside in College Station, TX where my hobbies include exploring nature, playing/watching sports, reading, exercising, dog pets, cat snuggles, and feeding my love for science! I am very passionate about wildlife health and I am an active member in the scientific community. Before coming to Texas, I completed my Masters at Bowling Green State University studying the lateral line of fish and its role in rheotactic behavior. After, I went back to Michigan to complete my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Michigan State University. Being a health professional and research scientist gives me the tools to now tackle critical wildlife and public health issues. Right now, I am focused on the biodiversity and evolution of filarial parasites and their effect on wild ungulates.
